Beam Assembly Machines for I beams
There are three types available; they vary in terms of the beam size they can assemble:
- Model HZZ-1500: For web from 200 up to 1,500 mm and flange from 200 up to 800 mm.
- Model HZZ-1800: For web from 200 up to 1,800 mm and flange from 200 up to 800 mm.
- Model HZZ-2000: For web from 200 up to 2,000 mm and flange from 200 up to 800 mm.
They all handle plates from 6 up to 32 mm thickness for the web, and between 6 and 40 mm for the flange.
The equipment works the following way: it has an entrance table, where one flange and the web enter. The operator only places these parts and the machine begins to move them towards the welding heads. It works hydraulically and assembles the I, aligning it. It has two MIG heads, one on either side, which spot weld the beam automatically all its way long. At the end, it has an exit table.
In order to place the second flange, the beam already welded for one side needs to be returned to the beginning, turn and repeat the process.
